Being convicted of drink driving and receiving a ban is very serious and stressful. Let IAM RoadSmart give you support and the possibility of a reduction in your ban.
The Drink Drive Rehabilitation Course (DDRC) is for drink drivers referred to us by a court and is delivered by the IAM RoadSmart’s Driver Retraining Academy. It will help you understand the dangers of alcohol, not only with respect to driving, but to your health and life in general.
The IAM RoadSmart is the UK’s leading road safety charity and has over 50 years of experience in making the roads a safer place by improving driving and riding standards. We were the first to introduce the Advanced Driving Test, so we know what makes a better and safer driver.

Right now, you’ll agree there’s a human cost to your ban, as well as the stigma and shame that comes with it. Through the information and advice provided in the interactive course sessions, you will understand better the impact alcohol has on your driving, your body and your life and how it affects your family, friends and work.
At the end of the course, you can apply for a reduction in your ban. This is typically up to 25% – so for example, a 24 month ban could be reduced by up to 6 months. Let’s face it – attending is worth it!
