Convicted of Drink Driving?

Being convicted of drink driving and receiving a ban is very serious and stressful. Let IAM RoadSmart give you support and the possibility of a reduction in your ban.

The Drink Drive Rehabilitation (DDR) course is for drink drivers referred to us by a court and is delivered by IAM RoadSmart’s Driver Retraining Academy. It will help you understand the dangers of alcohol, not only with respect to driving, but to your health and life in general.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

Following government announcement on the 8th September, we can confirm that classroom courses booked in England will be running as planned. Our Drink Drive Rehabilitation courses are exempt from the new rules since they are delivered as part of our work and for education purposes.

We continue to monitor the situation closely and make decisions based on government advice and should there be any changes that affect a course you are booked on we will contact you via email and text as soon as possible.

The safety of our clients and staff is our top priority and courses will only run where COVID-19  venue risk assessments satisfy our requirements. Clear guidelines will be in place for our delivery of service.

If you have a query about your course or how COVID-19 will affect your ban, please check our COVID-19 information page before contacting us.

Benefits of the course

Right now, you’ll agree there’s a human cost to your ban, as well as the stigma and shame that comes with it. Through the information and advice provided in the interactive course sessions, you will understand better the impact alcohol has on your driving, your body and your life and how it affects your family, friends and work.

At the end of the course, you can apply for a reduction in your ban. This is typically up to 25% – so for example, a 24 month ban could be reduced by up to 6 months. Let’s face it – attending is worth it!
